Description

Newkirk Public Schools is seeking a High School Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position supports students with disabilities in grades 9–12 through individualized instruction, transition planning, and collaboration to ensure success in both academic and post-secondary outcomes.

Provide direct instruction and support in core academic and/or resource settings
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, including measurable goals and progress monitoring
Facilitate transition planning (post-secondary goals, Pre-ETS, career readiness)
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Utilize data to drive instruction and support graduation pathway success
Implement behavior supports, including FBA/BIP, as needed
Ensure compliance with OSDE, IDEA, and district policies
Maintain accurate documentation in EdPlan
Required Qualifications Valid Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification required
Knowledge of high school graduation requirements and transition services
Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
