The Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction will be responsible for the facilitation and development of curriculum, programs, professional development and alignment of resources for academic growth and success. This position will also facilitate the development and coordination of federal programs for the district. Emphasis will be placed on vertical alignment of curriculum and resources across all grades and subjects.

CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION
• Guides in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum materials and resources and monitors instructional effectiveness.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities associated with the approved curriculum, supplemental resources, pacing guides and collaborates to help monitor the effectiveness of said resources.
• Facilitates meetings of the Professional Development Committee and that opportunities and plans meet any local, state, &/or federal requirements.
• Remain current on developments in curriculum and instruction and work collaboratively to determine their appropriateness for inclusion in the district’s programs.
• Directs and encourages the development and use of new instructional materials to improve student achievement.
• Works with staff members, teachers and administrators, by coordinating processes that allow for them to review, interview, and select impactful curriculum and resources that follow the Oklahoma Academic Standards.
• Provides leadership in the effective use of funds to support district priorities including multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and equity of programs.
• Promotes evidence-based instructional practices to improve student achievement.
• Coordinates the planning, staffing, budgeting, and evaluation of all programs related to curriculum and instruction for the district.
• Collaborates with instructional specialists on interventions
• Organizes summer programming related to curriculum and instruction for students and staff.
• Coordinates and develops partnerships with a focus on post-secondary opportunities for students including but not limited to working with CV Tech and USAO.
• Works directly with the district leadership team to ensure the effective and efficient performance in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and educational programs.
• Works to remain current of adoptions, regulations, laws, protocols, and requirements related to curriculum, instruction and federal programs by attending scheduled cohort and related meetings offered by OSDE, CCOSA, and OSSBA.
• Attends professional development that are focused on improving curriculum and instruction and enhance job performance.
• Coordinate district federal programs plans and applications related to English Learners, Title (I, II, III, IV, VI) McKinney-Vento, foster care, etc.
• Planning, implementation, compliance, and evaluation of all federally funded education programs.
• Ensures alignment with federal, state, and district requirements.
• Supports schools in improving student achievement with an emphasis on underserved populations.
• Facilitates meetings of the District Title Committee.
• Provide guidance on schoolwide programs.
• Assist with needs assessments and continuous improvement planning.
• Prepare required reports for local, state, and federal agencies.
• Provide training for administrators and staff on federal program requirements and effective practices.
• Facilitate parent and family engagement activities in compliance with federal requirements.
• Collaborate and provide consultation with non-public schools as well as community organizations and stakeholders.
• Ensures consultation and collaboration with private schools when required.
• Supports parent engagement and collaboration with community stakeholders.

Training and Experience:
● A valid Oklahoma teaching certificate.
● A valid Oklahoma administrative certificate.
● Must have administrative experience in educational leadership as a principal or in district leadership (related to curriculum &/or instruction. (Minimum 5 years- Required)
