Description

Okeene Public School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 26-27 school year and beyond. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students achieve academic, behavioral, and social success through individualized instruction and collaboration with staff and families.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, counselors, and administrators
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school activities

Qualifications:
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Special Education (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
Experience working with students with diverse needs is preferred

Okeene Public Schools serves approximately 340 students in grades Pre-K – 12.

Required Qualifications Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate
Special Education Certification
Master’s Degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field
Preferred Qualifications Experience in special education leadership, program coordination, or administration preferred but not required.
